Cars are trumps!

Sindelfingen is the ultimate car city.Around 36,000 people work at the world's largest car plant of Daimler AG.

The history of the car industry in Sindelfingen goes back to the start of the 20th century: the Mercedes-Benz plant was constructed in 1915.

The next major project in Sindelfingen is the extension of the Mercedes-Benz Technology Centre on the “südlicher Mittelpfad” area. Around 3,000 jobs currently spread across other sites will be relocated to this area in the next few years. This is an impressive demonstration of Sindelfingen's future capability in the areas of research and development.

However, Daimler AG is not the only representative of the car industry in Sindelfingen. A large number of small and large automotive component suppliers have also become established here and profit from their proximity to Daimler AG.

A total of around 38,400 employees subject to social insurance work in the field of motor vehicle construction, development and design.
