A big name in fashion

Fashion has a long tradition in Sindelfingen. Back in the 19th century, Sindelfingen was regarded as an important location for the weaving industry. The textile industry is still very important today.More than 110 companies employing around 1,400 people are involved in this industry in Sindelfingen.

The first and one of the largest textile order centres in Germany is located in the east end of Sindelfingen. Textile retailers from southern Germany and nearby Switzerland can order textile goods of all well-known brands at this order centre.

The fashion city of Sindelfingen is expanding: the area of the Euro Fashion Centre is currently being extended from 10,000 to 19,000 m². The Breuninger department store is also creating additional floor space with the fashion tower, which has a rental area of 6,500 m² and will be completed in 2009.
